  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Manager (Software Management), Professional Officers Division to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Function as part of the Resource Planning and Management (RPM) Team to support the division’s activities and meet the division’s planning and administrative needs.
  • Strengthen software management processes to ensure the requests for new and/or renewal programme software are promptly processed and tabled at University -level Committee for approval.
  • Facilitate the management of software maintenance contracts with users, Legal, Finance and/ or vendors, including monitoring the expiry and renewal of contracts.
  • Ensure software license agreements and terms and conditions are cleared with Legal and uploaded to division’s repository system.
  • Manage the Software Catalogue and ensure the information in the system is updated.
  • Compile and conduct analysis on software-related data for presentation to management.
  • Prepare, track and monitor the software budget and utilization.
  • Facilitate the cross-division project on the implementation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and manage the VDI operations.
  • Perform Secretariat duties to University and division-level committees, including but not limited to writing minutes and following up on matters arising.
  • Plan and organize POD events and meetings, including liaising with other divisions for logistic and other support.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director, POD and supervising officer for the effective support of division operations and activities.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • University Degree work experience of at least 12 years, with least 7 years in managerial capacity
  • Have knowledge and experience in managing software license agreement and interpreting licensing terms and conditions would be preferred.
  • Possess knowledge/ experience in IT Assets Management would be advantageous.
  • Able to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community and possess the confidence to front different parties.
  • Able to multi-task and manage tight deadlines.
  • Show initiative and take ownership of work.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  SALARY S$7,000.00 - S$8,000.00 per Month
