IT Regional
department is seeking a talented, high caliber candidate in
the area of networking, server and phone systems. The successful
candidate will join our global team in maintaining the overall
IT infrastructure & operations, as well as local “Singapore”
infrastructure support.
Responsible for the networking and server
aspect of the projects from initiation to implementation.
You will study business and application specific requirements,
review organizational IT infrastructure as well as design
and implement the IT architecture to meet current and future
requirements.
Manage the customer’s expectations,
develop and actively engage customers, so as to enhance customer
intimacy and influence their alignment with the org agenda,
and to achieve customer satisfaction.
Develop good knowledge of servers, network,
IT security, desktop and operations to effectively manage
vendors
Experience in network security and/or development
of IT Technical Architecture plans will be an added advantage
Region: China, Pacific, Bangladesh, Indonesia,
Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea,
Vietnam
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running for the Region
data rooms, servers and other equipment, including systems
backup, disaster recovery, infrastructure planning, and
network & security management.
- Monitor system processes and batch jobs,
analyze problems in production runs to identify problem
areas and perform the necessary corrective actions.
- Works with the French HQ in rolling out
new implementations for the CEAP Region offices.
- Provide local desktop support to the Singapore
office users.
- Manage and support the Singapore office
IT setup.
- Write IT document of procedure, configurations
for hardware, software and processes
- To liaise with vendors in getting &
vetting quotations for IT hardware, software and professional
services
Qualifications
- Good degree in Information System.
- Minimum 5 to 7 relevant years of Network
experience in field Support or remote Support role
- Extensive technical knowledge of the Microsoft
Windows (XP, 2000, 2003) environment, Lotus Notes, Active
Directory, McAfee, iPass, TCP/IP, Linux, LAN, WAN, Wireless,
Phone systems, switches, firewalls, gateways.
- Experience in wireless and/or WAN/security
are desired.
- Solid knowledge of network management
software including Nagios/Cacti/NTop/Host Monitor
- Advanced security knowledge (radius, encryption)
certainly beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with trouble ticket
systems such as Peregrine or Remedy
- Solid technical knowledge of Ethernet Networking
Peripherals (NICs, switches, routing devices) and networking
technology including network protocols (TCP/IP and IPX).
- Well versed in scripting languages like
VBScript, Kix32, Lotus script, Unix shell scripts
- To provide front end support to users
in installing, configuring, modifying, decommissioning personal
computers, notebooks, printers, scanners, applications and
other miscellaneous hardware & software
- Must have in depth experience in technical
troubleshooting, isolation and resolution of technical problems.
- Familiarity with Engineering and Manufacturing
providers and our tools, e.g. SAP, Autocad, livelink, Intranet
tools, domino database, will be an added advantage.
- Independent and responsible worker, able
to work with minimum supervision.

with resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Meticulous and thorough, possess strong
analytical skills.

Travel: 30% in CEAP Region, main countries:
