The roles and responsibilities of this role include:
 
The incumbent is expected to build strong partnerships with Faculty, Partner with Frontline colleagues to understand industry and prospective donor requirements, and facilitate with the value proposition colleague on building significant gift proposals for the University. The typical candidate has strong knowledge and experience in building initiatives that require significant stakeholder alignments.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop a faculty engagement framework that institutes the alignment of various academic, research and sponsorship offerings from the University to the needs of prospective donors.
  • Identify and facilitate cross-faculty collaboration on major gift projects that cover a cluster of faculties at the university.
  • Drive, coordinate and support new gift opportunities between various stakeholders within the University
  • Develop and champion fundraising campaigns in collaboration with other teams for concerted fundraising effort
  • Involved in the creation of associated marketing collaterals and donor engagement platforms
  • Deliver pro-active/ coordinated services between front-line and faculty on new gift opportunities.
  • Advise on stewardship of the gifts received at faculty, in line with developing the prospect for additional future gifts to the University.
  • Interface and communicate with Deans and Professors at all stages of the development process.
  • Partner with value propositions colleague to align the positioning, features, advantages and benefits for major gift projects.
  • Lead and institutionalize an internal process to define the faculty engagement strategy, roadmap and priorities.
  • Assist in the development of persuasive proposals to prospective donors.
  • Monitor the status of significant faculty projects and continuously improve the quality of the offering based on feedback from constituents.
  • Support the management on faculty-related policies.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

In order to be successful for this role, the candidate must possess the following competencies and experience:
  • At least 6 years’ progressive career track record.
  • Experience in responsibilities that demonstrate significant stakeholder engagement is an advantage, typically handling regional roles in strategy, new product introduction or multi-agency task groups.
  • Experience in Business Development is preferred.
  • Values philanthropy for higher education and is self-motivated to contribute for community building.
  • Identifies with the vision of the University and the mission of the department.
