Our client, an MNC, is currently seeking a CUSTOMER ENGINEER TRAINEE (THERMAL) to join their organization! If you are seeking a role in engineering, read on!
 
For trainees:
  • Trainees will complete the required training. This will be a combination of instructor-led training and practical "on the job" training.
  • During the course of the program, the trainees will carry out service of equipment, commissioning, and service contracts under the guidance of a senior customer engineer.
  • Trainees will carry out service work in an efficient, professional and prompt manner, thus ensuring client satisfaction and goodwill.
The scope of duties:
  • Provide after sales service and support for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
  • Deliver service plans through operational plans; studying existing conditions; determining needs to accomplish operational delivery; mapping solution; updating and modifying requirements and solutions; preparing cost estimate and budget
  • Assist in formulating service action plan and schedule by determining specifications; coordinating and supervising contractors; comply with master schedules; coordinating and integrating requirement with all 3rd parties involved; updating cost estimates; aimed at sustaining and improving customers’ requirement.
  • Maintains the company products and systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testing programs; scheduling repair and corrective maintenance within SLA; coordinating shut-down and installations
  • Carry out testing and commissioning of new units to ensure performance as per specifications.
  • Provide round-the-clock standby for breakdown calls, per maintenance contract requirement, therefore helping to minimize downtime for customer’s critical equipment.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with customers and assist all parties in case of customer inquiries.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with the HSE code and legal regulations
  • Assist in monitoring pricing levels and pricing strategies of labor, spare parts, maintenance service contracts and other service products
  • Perform other work as assigned by immediate superior

Qualifications:
  • Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 12-month work experience preferably in the field of engineering.
  • Active team player, customer service oriented with positive working attitude.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems logically.
  • Strong customer facing skills are required - Excellent listener, communicator and presenter.
  • Good IT knowledge will be an advantage.
