  JOB DESCRIPTION You will drive and lead in activation efforts and build capabilities in the community of carers comprising of patients, caregivers, volunteers and partners under the auspice of the Centre for Health Activation (CHA). You will support CHA’s mission of establishing a training and research institute for patient and family engagement, where we move activation towards a broader mission in social care and volunteerism.

You will create and implement a conducive framework and environment for individuals to take charge of their own health and to care for the health of others in the community. This will include taking a leadership role in building and sustaining new and existing community partnerships to drive activation efforts in the hospital and the community. You will develop a suite of community enabling training programmes, developed to meet the needs of the community and its residents and track its effectiveness through proven research methodologies.

You will lead in efforts to champion patient, caregiver and volunteer engagement and empowerment efforts at the Hospital’s Patient Experience Centre, CareConnect, and also have oversight of the daily operations. You will manage resources and implement programmes, projects and events within set budgets, funding mechanisms and timelines.

As the Activation Manager, you will also be the co-lead for development, conceptualisation and execution of the annual Singapore Patient Conference and Singapore Patient Action Awards, a large scale patient conference and awards ceremony that celebrate the healthcare journeys of our patients, volunteers and caregivers.
  • A recognised Degree, preferably in Business, Communications, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Science, Social Anthropology or related field
  • At least eight years of corporate or marketing communications’ experience or research, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead and influence behaviors to get work done
  • Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Resourcefulness in problem solving and resilient in overcoming challenges
  • Ability to think on your feet, work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
  • Superior professionalism, leadership skills and judgment
  • Strong work ethics
  • Strong organisational and event management skills, with a keen eye for details
  • Familiar with design software and media production processes
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms and website management
