  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Inside Sales Engineer (Spare Part, SEAP) based in Kuala Lumpur to join their team.

The responsibilities of this role encompasses:     
Inside Sales activities of South East Asia & Pacific (SEAP) for spare parts such as inquiries handling, preparation of strategic quotations, bring cleared orders, etc for products. In addition the individual shall be ready to travel in the region to meet customers / sales channels, whenever require.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Preparation and submittal of good quality proposals
    • Select the suitable products / spare parts in accordance with the customers requisition and code
    • Determine and create the products / spare parts lists
    • Estimate the manufacturing cost of the products and prepare the proposals and long term purchase agreements
    • Clarify the customer and comapny's commercial terms and conditions
    • Prepare the deviations and clarifications sheets
  • Operate and update tools 
    • Operate tools (MK System, Database, etc)
    • Update tools (SFDC, etc)
  • Building up a closer bilateral relationship with customers / sales channels / factories / other departments
    • Communicate with customer to fix the product specification / scope
    • Collect and analyze customers’ needs
    • Negotiating with customers for technical and commercial matters
    • Internal negotiation with various factories / departments for betterment
  • Preparation of order packages to hand over to Project Management Team
    • Prepare the related documents and instructions of manufacturing to hand over the order to Project Management Team
  • Assist sales team activities
    • Prepare the technical presentation material for Sales / customers
    • Present selection / proposal to customer
  • Develop the skilled staff
    • Advise / train junior staff for technical issue 

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred
  • Related experience in a similar position and organization, preferably control valves or other mechanically related equipment or related experience either in oil and gas, power plant or chemical industry
  • Other experience in purchasing, or fresh graduate may be considered
  • Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills essential
  • Positive, aggressive, open  mind, achiever & team player
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written required in English
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel, Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Some proficiency in Japanese / Korean language would be a plus
