  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Head of Plants (China) to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • To fulfil customers’ orders and demand consistently per the committed lead time, Billing and OTD (On time Delivery)
  • Drive operation excellence to be better, faster and cheaper operations performance
  • Ensure applicable compliance with legal regulations and meet EHS standards and requirements
  • Achieve budgeted Operations and financial performance target of the operation units (respective site)
  • Define priorities, focus and strategies for Quality and Operations (i.e. Digitalization, Technology strategies, NPI…)
  • Implement the company’s Production System and achieve Basics, Advance and Expert maturity level respectively
  • Develops strong next line leaders, create Lean culture of continuous improvement and establish effective team with strong methodological approach and capabilities (i.e. 6-sigma, Core tools/VDA, etc…)
  • Performance Management - Define, implement, execute and maintain KPI and deploy down to respective levels at. Ensure linkages of KPIs.
  • Establish sustainable structure - Review, steer and provide resource support team success to deliver bottom line results. Ensure transparency and proper flow of information.
  • As Member of SCM Management Committee; Instrumental in defining & executing SCM strategies. Moderate among functions to ensure close collaborations and achieve cross functional efficiency.
  • Jointly works with KPU, PDG, and peer functions to implement and ramp new products introduction
  • Drive strategic program and long term plan for operations (i.e. Industrial footprint, long term COGS roadmap, industry benchmarking)
  • Implement and operationalize S&OP process
  • Role model the company’s POWER value and Quality principles
  • Jointly work with i manufacturing and procurement to implement outsourcing strategies
  • Order fulfillment (Billing) within committed lead time (OTD)
  • Planning and Inventory (DIO, Value, Outstanding PO…)
  • Efficiency improvement (labor productivity or MPE)
  • Drive profitability through COGS reduction and COGS/unit ($/hr) improvement (Saving & COGS/unit)
  • Ramp up new product and new technology (NPD and NPI)
  • Define production technology and production site strategy
  • Accountable as site business owner to ensure business strategies and plans are executed and well developed
  • Ensure Site priorities are executed (Site KPIs)
  • Implement & sustain the company’s processes
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration
  • Monitor and facilitate effective team at site
  • Strategy to supply chain, Forecast to operational plan, Plan to finished goods, Finished goods to order fulfillment (supply chain), Procurement & supplier collaboration, Facility & Maintenance, Audit & Quality management, S&OP processes, NPD process, PLM process

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • At least 10+ years of experience in plant management, with a proven track record in large-scale manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing, production optimization, and supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of local regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards in China.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in leading operations within a multinational corporate structure.
    • Strong financial and operational acumen, with a focus on cost optimization and performance improvement.
    • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive alignment with corporate goals.
    • This position plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the company’s growth objectives in China and beyond.
