  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Manager/ Asst Manager, Fundraising to join their team!

Reporting to the Senior Manager (Fundraising & Donor Relations) the Assistant Manager/ Manager will support Advancement office operations in the following areas.
  1. Identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding potential and current Major Gift donors, including philanthropists, corporations and foundations
  2. Responsible for facilitating all phases of the gift cycle, including initiating contact, cultivating and moving potential donors to solicitation and closure. 
  3. Developing General Giving programmes both at HQ and in collaboration with institutions’ charity funds.
He/she also supports fund raising efforts through prospect research and working with relevant parties to ensure due diligence of information collected and systematically recording those profiles. With the aim of developing a flourishing fundraising community of practice, he/she is expected to contribute to capacity building.
The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for other Advancement Office assignments as appropriate and will be involved in administrative operations.

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and maintain key relations with a portfolio of contacts (current and prospective donors) with the view to match their giving interests with corporate’s funding priorities and needs at the Major Gift level.
  • Facilitate gift structuring to optimize donor’s gift purpose and manage the process of closing the gift.
  • Proactively identify, develop and deliver engagement opportunities to donors to ensure the maximization of their financial and non-financial support.
  • Generating pitch collateral necessary for solicitation of donors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Major Gift, General Giving, Stewardship, Advancement Communications, Prospect Research, and Advancement Operations to develop and maintain a coordinated approach in support of overall departmental and corporate-wide goals.
  • Logistic support for fundraising engagements and events.
  • Support the team’s efforts in Capacity Building of fundraising colleagues at both HQ and charity funds.
     

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Degree in any discipline, such as arts, business, marketing, or communications
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, fundraising and/or relevant fields.
  • Experience in using a CRM system and conducting donor research.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities and driving projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders and management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex and diverse relationships and the proven ability to operate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Healthcare or research fund raising experience will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Impeccable professional integrity.
