J OB DESCRIPTION
Our client is actively searching for a Full Time Lecturer (Life Science) The responsibilities of this role are:
Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops, and laboratory sessions in Life Science.
Monitor students’ academic progress through appropriate assessment strategies and provide learning support where required.
Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examinations, including quality review of examination papers within the area of specialisation.
Conduct objective assessments for examination appeal cases.
Support the management and development of academic staff, including review of teaching assignments and classroom observations where required.
Advise students on academic performance and career opportunities.
Contribute to the review, design, and development of programmes and modules to maintain curriculum relevance and quality.
Develop course materials for new modules and prepare course or module review reports for internal and external programmes.
Support preliminary module mapping for new programme development.
Contribute to the development of intellectual property for the School.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
PhD in Life Science or equivalent.
At least a pass at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent in the language medium of the programme or module.
More than 1 year of relevant work experience.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Willing to work shift hours, including late evenings and weekends where required.
